Demi Moore

Demi Kutcher (born Demetria Gene Guynes on November 11, 1962) is an American actress. For most of her career, she has been known as Demi Moore, using the surname of her first husband, singer-songwriter Freddy Moore. (She pronounces her name "dem-EE," with the emphasis on the second syllable, just like it sounds in "Demetria"; many folks incorrectly pronounce it "DEM-ee," with the emphasis on the first syllable.) She became well-known after a string of 1980s teen-oriented movies, and was one of the best known actresses of 1990s Hollywood. Moore is also known for her husky voice. She is currently married to actor Ashton Kutcher. She is of Greek descent.

After quitting school, Moore went to work as a pin-up girl, modelled for European photographers, and worked at a collection agency. In the early 1980s, Moore posed for a series of photographs for Christopher Marrin featuring full frontal nudity. These photos went unnoticed until after she became a star, and were eventually published in a German magazine and later in North America. Moore's film debut was in the 1982 3-D science fiction/horror film, Parasite, which was a hit on the drive-in circuit, ultimately grossing $7 million. However, Moore was not widely known until she played the part of Jackie Templeton on the ABC soap opera, General Hospital, from 1982-1983. Appropriately, she also had an uncredited cameo at the end of the 1982 spoof Young Doctors in Love.

In the mid-1980s, she appeared in the youth-oriented films St. Elmo's Fire and About Last Night, and she was often listed as one of the Brat Pack, a name the media dubbed a certain group of top young actors at the time. For a time during the 1990s, Moore was the highest-paid actress in Hollywood. She had a string of box-office successes, including Ghost, A Few Good Men, Indecent Proposal, Disclosure and The Hunchback of Notre Dame for which she was the first actress to reach the $10 million salary mark. Among other films for which Moore was considered were Basic Instinct, Flashdance and While You Were Sleeping.

Moore's reputation suffered in the mid 1990s when her starring vehicles The Scarlet Letter, The Juror, Striptease, and G.I. Jane (a movie in which Moore shaved off all her long hair on camera, leaving her head totally bald) failed at the box office and garnered mixed reviews. Meanwhile, Moore's Passion of Mind co-star Joss Ackland lambasted Moore by describing her as being "not very bright or talented". At the same time she produced and starred in a TV mini-series called If These Walls Could Talk, written by Nancy Savoca. A three-part series on abortion, Savoca directed two segments, including the one in which Moore gave a stunning performance as a single woman in the 1950s seeking a back-street abortion. She was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Actress for that role.

Demi Moore was a founding "celebrity investor" in the Planet Hollywood chain of international theme restaurants (modeled after the Hard Rock Cafe and launched in New York on October 22, 1991) along with Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger and then-husband Bruce Willis.

After a break from her acting career, Moore returned to the screen as a former member of Charlie's Angels gone bad in the 2003 film Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle. In 2006, she appeared in Bobby which featured an all-star cast including her husband Ashton Kutcher although they did not appear in any scenes together. On June 1, 2007, her most recent film, Mr. Brooks, was released. She appeared in Jon Bon Jovi's longform video "Destination Anywhere" as Janie.

Alona Tal

Alona Tal (born October 20, 1983) is an Israeli television actress.

Tal started her career fresh out of the Israeli army, with a children's musical video tape, in which she played an evil witch. Following that, she appeared in a commercial for a laundry detergent. After that she got the lead role in the Israeli film Lihiyot Kohav (Being a Star).

During the filming of the movie, she was offered two roles in two different Israeli television shows, and she took both. The first was a soap opera named "Tzimerim" about the life of a family that runs a hotel; the second one was "The Pyjamas", a sitcom about a struggling band, determined to make it in the real world. This sitcom ran for four seasons, and gave Tal the chance to show her musical talent.

Although she was the main character only in the first three seasons, she appeared in the fourth season for several episodes. Following that, Tal recorded several songs with Israeli rapper Subliminal.

Seeking some rest from her busy schedule, Tal went to New York City to live with her sister. In New York, she met singer Wyclef Jean and recorded a song with him (the song Party to Damascus has Tal singing the chorus in Hebrew). In a recent interview he referred to himself as her mentor, seeking to help her with her true passion, music.

She landed a role on Veronica Mars, that of Meg Manning, one of Veronica Mars' few friends. Tal had originally auditioned for the lead eponymous role on the show, which went to Kristen Bell, but Rob Thomas liked her so much that he created the recurring role of Meg Manning specifically for her. She had also guest-starred as "Jo Harvelle", a recurring character, on Supernatural--at least until Season 3 whereupon her character disappeared without warning. Some fans speculate that she was cut from the cast to make way for other characters with more male audience appeal, such as Ruby (played by Katie Cassidy), although this is up for debate. Alona still maintains a very loyal and intense, though relatively small, fan base.

Elle Macpherson

Elle Macpherson (born Eleanor Nancy Gow, 29 March 1963) is an Australian supermodel and actress. She is most famous worldwide for her five cover appearances on Sports Illustrated's swimsuit issue in the 1980s and 1990s. Nicknamed “The Body”, she is 183cm (6'0") tall.

While on holiday in Tasmania, Macpherson was discovered and signed to Click Model Management. Macpherson became an international star through her appearance in ELLE magazine. She appeared in every issue for six straight years. During this time she married (at age 21) ELLE creative manager Gilles Bensimon. Eventually she gained even more exposure through Sports Illustrated magazine’s annual swimsuit issue. She appeared on the cover a record five times, (1986,1987,1988,1994 and 2006). She also modeled for lingerie giant Victoria's Secret.

By 1986, her popularity had increased sufficiently for Time magazine to run a cover entitled “The Big Elle”. The Australian government simultaneously offered her a post on the tourist commission as an unofficial ambassador.

Macpherson made her movie debut playing an artist's model in the 1994 Sirens, which starred Hugh Grant, Sam Neill, Tara Fitzgerald, Kate Fischer and co-starred Portia de Rossi, as another model. Macpherson gained 9 kilograms (20 lb) and her breasts grew to a voluptuous 37D. She surprised fans and critics by appearing unabashedly in numerous nude scenes, earning her top billing for the film above more established actors (in fact, all the female characters in the movie appeared nude at least once in the film).

Soon after Sirens, Macpherson appeared completely nude in Playboy magazine. Elle chose for the pictures to be published in all countries except Australia, as she didn't want her parents to see the pictures. At the time she posed for Playboy, Australian magazines Women's Day and New Idea published shots from the shoot. They were also featured on current affairs programs A Current Affair and 60 Minutes. Macpherson also published two calendars in which she appeared in see-through tops.

In 1999, Macpherson appeared in five episodes of the hit United States sitcom Friends as Joey's roommate and girlfriend, Janine Lecroix. (Interestingly, the actress had been named in an earlier season as someone Chandler would picture during sex.)

Macpherson went on to film Batman & Robin with George Clooney, Jane Eyre with William Hurt and has also appeared alongside Ben Stiller and Sarah Jessica Parker in If Lucy Fell. Her most controversial acting assignment to date is a film made for Showtime Cable Network called "A Girl Thing". In it she plays a woman experimenting with bi-sexuality for the first time. Macpherson appears in several nude love scenes with co-star Kate Capshaw.
